The Stoliner Rebbe has ordered the cancellation of tefillos that were expected to take place at Binyanei Haumah in Yerushalayim.
Thousands of Chassidim were to celebrate Rosh Hashanah there in the presence of the Rebbe.
Tonight, in a dramatic development, the Rebbe ordered the cancellation of the tefillos and events that were supposed to take place at Binyanei Haumah, instructing all Chassidim to remain in their cities of residence and not come to the Rebbe.
The reason? Due to Covid concerns.
Just last night, the Chassidim were informed that, according to the Rebbe’s instructions, entry to Binyani Haumah would be subject to strict rules related to the coronavirus.
However, that was all called off tonight. “The Rebbe understood that he would not be able to enforce a green card,” said one askan. “When you add to that the trauma of the collapse of the bleachers on Erev Shavuos, along with other things, the decision is understandable.”
