Two individuals have been confirmed as infected with Listeria, with one case emerging in New York and another in Pennsylvania. Both patients have been admitted to hospitals for treatment. The outbreak is linked to kosher “Soft Serve On The Go” ice cream cups.

Authorities suspect that the actual count of affected individuals in this outbreak might surpass the officially reported figures, hinting at a wider spread of the outbreak than initially believed. It’s becoming increasingly apparent that the geographical reach of the outbreak might extend beyond the confines of the states currently experiencing illnesses.

Traces of the Listeria strain causing the outbreak were detected in a sample of “Soft Serve On The Go” ice cream cup extracted from the freezer of one of the infected individuals. Laboratory experts are diligently working to verify whether this particular strain indeed matches the outbreak variant of Listeria.

As of August 9, 2023, Real Kosher Ice Cream has announced a comprehensive recall encompassing all flavors of “Soft Serve On The Go” ice cream cups.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has raised an alarm due to revelations that the recalled ice cream had been served in at least one long-term care facility, housing a significant number of elderly residents aged 65 and above, as well as individuals with compromised immune systems. These groups are at heightened risk of experiencing severe symptoms and complications stemming from Listeria infection.

In light of these developments, health authorities are strongly advising the following precautions to the general public:

  1. Avoid Consumption: Refrain from consuming “Soft Serve On The Go” ice cream cups.
  2. Freezer Check: Recognize that Listeria can endure freezing temperatures.
  3. Disposal or Return: Discard any remaining ice cream cups from the recalled batch or return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.
  4. Inquiries: Should you have inquiries, contact Real Kosher Ice Cream at 845-668-4346 or via email at [email protected]. The helpline operates from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST.

  1. The CDC????!
Oh, but vaccines are 100% safe with no dangerous side effects! All the vaccinated lemechels who now have heart troubles are faking it, eh?!

  2. When will they have the courage to tell the world about the dangers of quaccines in general, from the childhood ones to the covid ones? All meant to kill the immune system and / or the person themselves, or at best, maim them.

  3. Refiah Sh’laima to those affected and hopefully that will be it.

I do have to say, from experience in working with companies that have had issues, that it’s important to remind people that listeria lives In a person’s gut track. If it gets to be too much, then it’s an issue. In reality, many times during these types of scares, they end up finding out that perhaps what they thought the listeria came from, wasn’t the correct item. It’s not that it was a particular item, it was just how the person’s body was affected by what they ate.

One other thing that normally happens after such a scare is that the company in question buckles down on their cleanouts and CIP procedures, which is always a good thing. Again, there’s no way to really know and it could also be a long time’s worth, meaning that we will see CHV a recall of product that was manufactured for months. Some of these things don’t make sense and it’s not worth trying to figure out.
