Hillary Clinton on Wednesday praised the courage of students who survived last week’s mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla., in the face of critical media attention.
After making appearances on television, some have become the subjects of various conspiracy theories. An aide to a Florida lawmaker and multiple far-right websites have pushed the false theory that some of the students are not students at all, but “crisis actors” pushing for gun control.
“Parkland students, you have shown so much courage in standing up for truth, for your right to attend school safely, & now against these disgusting smears. The good news is, it will only make you louder & stronger,” Clinton wrote.
