Texas Senator Ted Cruz spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity Wednesday night about Donald Trump’s New York City hush money trial and the Left’s attempt to take out the GOP nominee using lawfare.
“No, he can’t get a fair trial in New York,” Cruz confirmed. “This is all about number one: attacking Donald Trump, because they hate his guts. And number two: look, the real target here is the American voter; the real target is Democracy.”
“This is election interference writ large,” Cruz continues. “It is the most grotesque example of trying to interfere in an election that we have ever seen. And we see it at the Biden Department of Justice that is weaponized; that is attacking its opponents … we see it in Georgia. … they are willing to abuse their power to stop the voters.”
Cruz says Trump likely won’t go to jail for the New York City trial.
