A huge fire broke out at the Satmar Bais Medrash in Yerushalayim. For hours, firefighters worked to gain control of the fire that destroyed the bais medrash in the Geula neighborhood.
There were no casualties, but the mythological structure suffered major damage.
It is not yet clear what caused the fire to break out.
The firemen saved Sifrei Torah and pairs of tefillin that were in the bais medrash, but at least two Sifrei Torah were damaged by the fire, though not completely burned.
At around 4:30 a.m., a report was received of a fire at the bais medrash. 9 firefighting teams and a crane arrived at the scene to perform extinguishing operations. The fire spread to two other buildings adjacent to the bais medrash, including a Talmud Torah. The buildings were in danger of collapsing and therefore the extinguishing operations were carried out with utmost care.
According to once source, 8 Sifrei Torah were rescued.

2 guesses how the fire started. Or better how the fire spread from its source.
Are we supposed to assume that those photos were taken by a random gentile who was just passing by?
Do you think all the fire fighters in israel are jewish?
