With two days to go before the Lag Ba’omer celebration in Meron, sources have informed police that there are those who are trying to pass of fake Lag Baomer-Meron entry permits as real ones, selling them for hundreds of shekels.
Police are emphasizing that only ticket holders can get to Har Meron – and only those possessing real tickets.
“Those who show up with fake tickets will likely be busted and sent back home,” said one official. “Don’t waste your time – and money – with forged tickets that won’t be honored.”
The fake-ticket-makers are quite adept and are doing their best to outwit the authorities, while officials are striving to prevent another disaster, keeping the crowd size to a reasonable number.

Those who received fake tickets are not aware that they’re fake. I can just imagine the chaos.
Why should the government charge entrance fee to Meron?
