The Palisades Parkway near Stony Point will be closed both north and southbound for at least the next two hours following a fatal motor-vehicle crash around 10:30 a.m. Friday, according to the New York State Police.
An accident reconstruction unit has been called to the scene, as well as the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office, said Trooper Melissa McMorris.
The fatality occurred during heavy rainfall and around the same time as the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the region. Read more here.
