Three people have been killed and six injured in an accident between a truck and several vehicles on Highway 3703 between the moshavim of Azrikam and Be’er Tuvia this (Tuesday) afternoon. The truck, carrying agricultural products, overturned on two vehicles, killing three of the passengers, two women in their 40s and a man in his 30s. The injured were evacuated to Assusa Hospital in Ashdod and Barzilai in Ashkelon.

A report of the accident was received at about 3:30 at the MDA hotline in the Lachish area. MDA paramedics began treating the injured, but were forced to determine the deaths of three of them.

A police force arrived at the scene of the accident and began an investigation. The initial assessment of the police is that the truck driver lost control of his vehicle at a bend in the road and overturned on to the cars.

One of the wounded, a 60-year-old man, is anesthetized and respirated at Assusa Hospital in Ashdod. The rest of the injured – three women in their sixties and two young men in their twenties – were moderately hurt.

  1. Hello my dear friends:
If you are driving on a highway and you see a large truck in front of you or behind, please let the truck pass you.
Example, if you are driving 55 mph and suddenly you see a truck behind you, it’s worth it to slow down and maybe change lanes, even if you slow down to 52 mph, eventually that truck will pass. It’s not worth it to drive side by side with a truck. Slow down, I know you will lose 5 minutes, but guess what, I am willing to bet you $1,000.00 that the exact amount of Parnassa that Hashem promised for you, you will get everything till the last dime. Please calm down and relax. If you drive 70 mph, you will not make even 1 penny more.
It hurts me tremendously when someone gets hurt, this is why I am trying to offer some advice.

  2. When a person’s time on this earth is up, there is nothing one can do to prevent it. There is tefilla which can change a gzar din but that is only in very unique situations. All this name calling regarding wearing masks during Coronavirus and then later on regarding getting vaccinated. Rodef, rotzeach, etc… was all for naught. HKB”H has an EXACT cheshbon for every nishama. It’s the same for all the relatively young people who were nifter yesterday r”l. When a person’s time is up, it’s up. We don’t know the Aibishter’s cheshbonos. For all I know the people in this vehicle were fully vaccinated and maybe even wearing masks at the time of this accident. But their time to go had arrived and they were going to be nifter one way or the other. Of course one has to do hishtadlus to stay healthy and safe, but at the end of the day one MUST rely on HKB”H only. Bd”e
