ferguson1Violence could blow up across the country after a grand jury decides whether or not to charge a Missouri police officer in the shooting of Michael Brown.

The FBI released a bulletin warning law enforcement agencies across the country that it “will likely” spark reprisals on police officers or federal agents by extremists. Electrical or water treatment plants could be targets, the bulletin notes, and cyber-attacks are also possible.

The FBI says it “stresses the importance of remaining aware of the protections afforded to all U.S. persons exercising their First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.” Earlier on Monday, Governor Jay Nixon placed Missouri under a state of emergency in anticipation of the decision. Read it at ABC.
