Johnson & Johnson is being investigated by the FBI investigation for a surgical device that has been found to spread cancer in women.
So far, agents have interviewed a retired pathologist who reportedly alerted the company to problems with its laparoscopic power morcellator in 2006; a doctor who says her own cancer was exacerbated by the tool in 2013; and a woman in California with a list of 400 patients whose conditions may have been worsened by the tool.
A morcellator cuts benign uterine growths, or fibroids, so that tissue can be removed and is mostly used in hysterectomies. Read more at The Wall Street Journal.
