Thanks to efforts initiated by MK Moshe Gafni of UTJ and continued by MK Uri Maklev, government workers and contractors will now be able to request access to filtered internet. Many workers had complained to the MKs that they were unable to do their work without exposure to undesirable content. Maklev pointed out that filtered internet also enhances productivity.
“Every worker should concentrate on his work,” he said. “The availability of an open network with regular programs is not conducive to quality work, work ethics or to the reaching of work objectives. It is also a pitfall and a disturbance to the employee.”
