Florida Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency as the state readies to face the wrath of Subtropical Storm Alberto.
The slow-moving storm is expected to slam the Gulf Coast with heavy downpours of 10 to 15 inches in parts of Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.
Alberto is the first named storm of the 2018 hurricane season. It’s expected to strengthen until it reaches the northern Gulf Coast, likely on Monday night.
