Well that definitely requires some explaining. Google apologized today after an error on Google Maps saw a Berlin intersection labeled with its Nazi-era name, Adolf-Hitler-Platz.
The intersection is currently supposed to be named Theodor-Heuss-Platz, for West Germany’s first president after World War II.
Google says it does not know how the error, which was visible for a few hours, occurred. Read more at Huffington Post.
