Following the tragic events that unfolded on Simchas Torah morning, where hundreds of innocent Israelis lost their lives and thousands were injured due to a multi-pronged attack by Hamas terrorists, Rav Dov Landau, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka, took decisive action, cancelling all Hakafos Shniyos in yeshivos across Eretz Yisrael.
This decision was made in light of the grave security situation and the need to prioritize the safety of the broader community.
Most shuls also cancelled Hakafos Shniyos.
Additionally, at the Kosel, the rov, Rav Shmuel Rabinovich, called off Hakafos Shniyos. Instead, a somber atzeres tefillah was held for those who have been wounded and for those held captive by Hamas.
