Hank Steinbrenner, Yankees Co-Owner, Dead At 63

Hank Steinbrenner, general partner and co-chairperson of the New York Yankees, died early this morning due to a lengthy illness at his Clearwater, Fla. residence surrounded by family members, the NY Post reports. He was 63.

According to a source the cause of death was not COVID-19.

Steinbrenner was in his 13th year as general partner and 11th as co-chairperson. Steinbrenner was the oldest son of George and Joan Steinbrenner. Brother Hal Steinbrenner is the Yankees’ managing general partner and co-chairperson.

  1. Reggie Jackson is completely overrated. He does not belong in the Hall of Fame. Hitting 3 homeruns in a single World Series game doesn’t qualify for dog catcher. The only record he has, is that he owns the lifetime record of striking out the most.
