LAKEWOOD, N.J. — A disturbing act of antisemitic vandalism has shocked the Lakewood, NJ community after swastikas fashioned from yellow tape were discovered inside a local shul on Wednesday morning.
The offensive symbols were found throughout Ohel Shulamit, a Sefardic shul located on Spruce Street, just east of River Avenue, where someone had carefully arranged strips of yellow tape into the shape of swastikas and affixed them to various locations inside the building.
Among the locations targeted were seforim shranks in the bais medrash and a hot water urn.
There were no signs of forced entry.
Authorities are expected to investigate how access to the building was obtained, as well as whether surveillance footage or other evidence can help identify the person responsible.

It feels to me like this was a set up. Why would a Jew hater make Nazi symbols using tape rather than paint which would be far quicker?
and harder to remove
