Israeli health experts are rejecting a claim by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel is nearly at the “end of COVID-19” pandemic in the country and warned that its world-leading vaccination campaign still has work to do.

“This is a political and unprofessional statement,” Professor Hagai Levine, epidemiologist and former head of the Israeli doctors’ union, told The Times of Israel on Wednesday.

According to Ben-Gurion University immunologist Tomer Hertz, Netanyahu’s comments are “part of a campaign statement similar to many that he has already made.”

“The situation is much worse than the one [Netanyahu] is trying to present” he added.

  1. Health experts and Netanyahu’s claims are not about the same issue. While Netanyahu is referring to the political coronavirus that he was talking about throughout 2020, i.e. the arrest of the Mossad criminals (lockdowns, etc) – which apparently seems to almost be completed, doctors are referring to those who became sick from the vax.
