Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will be retried for allowing the killing of protesters during the 2011 Arab Spring protests, the country’s high court ruled Thursday.
The 87-year-old leader was initially sentenced to life in prison in 2012.
A court dropped charges against him in an initial retrial, but that move was appealed by the prosecution.
His successor, Mohammed Morsi, may face the death penalty over a prison break. Read more at BBC News.
