Just a few days ago, on Shabbos, we read in the Torah: “The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth became full of robbery.”
It is the will of Hashem that all people live a moral life, according to laws of the Torah. For Jews, it is the 613 mitzvos; for gentiles, it is the sheva mitzvos bnei Noach.
We, as Jews, have an obligation to support moral values and justice around us, in the whole world.
1. Clinton is a strong supporter of toeivah. “Gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights,” she said during a 2011 speech in Geneva, Switzerland, to mark International Human Rights Day.
Donald Trump said that he is going to protect gays from violence, but he’s also said that if elected president, he would consider appointing Supreme Court justices who would overturn marriage equality.
2. The Clinton Foundation partnered with Planned Parenthood to expand abortion around the world.
Trump said, “The primary responsibility of the federal government is to protect the rights of its citizens. Life is the most fundamental right. The federal government should not diminish this right by denying its’ protection. I am opposed to abortion… I oppose the use of government funds to pay for abortions.”
3. Clinton is probably the greatest symbol of corruption in today’s America.
To support those who promote immorality, abortion and corruption is against Hashem.
And if we do, we are not Orthodox; we are paradox (Rav Shlomo Brevda zt”l).
