IAEA Chief Says Iran Does Not Have Enough Uranium To Make Atomic Weapon

The Islamic Republic does not currently have enough uranium to construct an atomic weapon according to United Nations standards, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency said on Saturday.

Rafael Grossi did warn, however, that the “Iranians continue to enrich uranium, and to a much higher degree than they have committed themselves to” under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“And this amount is growing by the month,” Grossi told Die Presse in an interview published on its website on Saturday.
