Israel Defense Forces destroyed an underwater tunnel in the northern Gaza Strip belonging to Hamas’ naval commando unit, the IDF revealed on Sunday.
The tunnel provided Hamas covert access to the Mediterranean coast, though it did not actually reach Israeli waters, stopping 3 kilometers short of the northern border with Israel, IDF spokesman Lt. Col Jonathan Conricus revealed to international media in a phone briefing.
