Two suspected COVID-19 coronavirus cases have been confirmed following a first round of tests in the Iranian city of Qom, Tasnim news agency reported Wednesday.
Citing Kianoush Jahanpour, PR chief of Iran’s Health Ministry, it said that coronavirus infections were confirmed by a first round of tests, with a second test underway to verify the findings.
Jahanpour is cited by ISNA news agency as saying that both patients were isolated, and emergency response teams deployed in the city.
