‘Irate’ Man Attacks Manhattan Shul’s Security Guard, Superintendent

A Manhattan shul’s superintendent and security guard were attacked by an “irate” man last week after he was told to leave the premises, authorities said today, Erev Yom Kippur, 1010 WINS reports.

On Thursday around 10:50 a.m. at Congregation Talmud Torah Ader on East 29th Street in Kips Bay, the suspect initiated a verbal dispute with the 57-year-old male superintendent and the 27-year-old female security guard, police said. After the duo told him to leave the premises, the man became irate and started attacking the victims. The superintendent suffered a laceration to his upper thigh from an unknown object while the security guard sustained minor injuries to the right side of her chin, according to officials.

The suspect fled the scene after attacking the victims. He is described as having a dark skin complexion, about 30 to 35-years-old with a medium build, black hair and last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, multi-color shirt, dark pants, black socks, black sandals and carrying a black book bag.
