Hunter Biden received a substantial sum of $4.9 million from Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris over a three-year period, according to an IRS agent who conducted an investigation into allegations of tax evasion against the president’s son, the NY Post reports. This revelation represents a significant increase in the previously known financial support from his purported “sugar brother,” a connection formed at a campaign fundraiser in December 2019.

During a follow-up appearance before the House Ways & Means Committee, IRS agent Joseph Ziegler shared this staggering figure and accompanying documentation, coinciding with House Republicans nearing a potential vote on initiating an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s alleged involvement in his family’s foreign transactions. Previous reports hinted at Morris settling approximately $2 million in tax debts for Hunter and acquiring some of his early artworks.

The motives behind Morris’ financial assistance to Hunter and the genuineness of their friendship are subjects of debate among Republicans. Ziegler, in his Tuesday testimony, presented an email suggesting that Morris, shortly after their initial meeting in February 2020, was already engaging accountants on Hunter’s behalf, emphasizing the need for swift action to avoid personal and political risks.

Ziegler, removed from the case earlier this year after investigating Hunter’s taxes for five years, pointed out a recurring pattern in Hunter’s financial practices. This pattern involved characterizing income, including the Ukrainian gas company Burisma earnings and Chinese income from Hudson West III, as loans to evade taxes. Ziegler emphasized that such practices persisted into 2020, 2021, and 2022, culminating in approximately $4.9 million for personal expenses from Democratic Donor Kevin Patrick Morris.

Ziegler and his investigative unit were abruptly taken off the tax fraud case against Hunter in May, allegedly under Justice Department orders. This move followed their public claims of a coverup, indicating preferential treatment for the first family. A subsequent probation-only plea deal for Hunter, announced by the US attorney’s office in Delaware a month later, unraveled in a July court hearing.

While the full transcript of Ziegler and Shapley’s recent testimony to the tax-focused Ways & Means Committee is not immediately available, a source familiar with the exchanges confirmed Ziegler’s acknowledgment of the $4.9 million figure for Morris’ contributions.

As of now, there has been no response from Morris, the White House, or Hunter’s legal team. A Los Angeles grand jury is reportedly contemplating tax charges against Hunter, possibly including violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Republicans have also turned attention to alleged loans involving James Biden, the president’s brother, asserting transactions that raise questions about financial dealings and potential impropriety.

Ziegler, a registered Democrat, and Shapley, a registered Republican, both voiced objections to the handling of Hunter’s tax fraud investigation. Ziegler, in particular, rebuked Democratic legislators for their conduct, expressing disappointment and personal impact resulting from comments and actions by the Biden family attorneys and certain media members.

  1. Whistleblowers are only believed when it brings down evil white racist Republican males, NEVER when it’s against a poor downtrodden democrat victim! I’m willing to lie to Congress, under oath, in order to help a member of the Biden family.

    • So it is okay that Jared Kushner got two BILLION from the Saudis after influencing government policy in their favor, and because he is a Republican he escapes scrutiny? That is over four hundred times as much money.

Hunter Biden has never worked for the government and has never testified before Congress.
