Israel Closes Border Crossing Into Egypt Over Coronavirus Fears

Israel has closed its main border crossing with Egypt on Sunday, citing fears of spread of coronavirus.

Authorities said the Taba border crossing was shuttered at 5PM Israel Standard Time for an indefinite period.

Additionally, all Israeli nationals returning from Egypt are required to spend 14 days in isolation.
