Israel’s Channel 11 released stunning videos of an unknown 65-foot deep “river-gorge” augmented by recent rains, which winds for eight miles from Dead Sea evaporating ponds to the sea amidst a breathtaking moonscape.
The gorge has long served as a channel for salt-water affluent flowing from the evaporating ponds and cutting the gorge ever deeper as the Dead Sea recedes.
