Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump who advised him on the Middle East during his time in office, has proposed the relocation of Gazans to the Negev in order to facilitate the IDF’s military campaign against Hamas.

As reported by The Hill, Kushner’s remarks surfaced from a conversation he had last month with Tarek Masoud, the faculty chair of Harvard’s Middle East Initiative (MEI), though they have only recently come to light.

Kushner stated, “So, what I would do right now if I was Israel is I would try to say, ‘Number one, you wanna get as many civilians out of Rafah as possible.’” He continued, “I think that you wanna try to clear that out… But, in addition to that, the thing that I would try to do if I was Israel right now is, I would just bulldoze something in the Negev, I would try to move people in there.”

Masoud questioned Kushner on the feasibility of relocating Gazans to the Negev, asking if “that would be something you would try to work on?”

Kushner replied, “I’m sitting in Miami Beach right now. And I’m, you know, I’m looking at the situation and I’m just thinking what would I do, if I was there.”

He remarked on the potential value of Gaza’s waterfront property, saying, “could be very valuable … if people would focus on kind of building up, you know, livelihoods,” instead of investing in tunnels or munitions.

Kushner expressed his opposition to a Palestinian state, stating, “proactively recognizing a Palestinian state would essentially be rewarding an act of terror,” adding that it is “a super bad idea in that regard.”

Kushner played a significant role in negotiating the normalization deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco, known as the Abraham Accords. He and his deputy, Avi Berkowitz, were nominated in 2021 for the Nobel Peace Prize for their role in negotiating the deals.

  1. What a stupid idea. Move more Arab to Israel? They might want to stay. The amount of manpower to move a million people, the cost. JK talks a good game, but he’s an idiot.
How about moving them to Dearborn Michigan? Jared??

  2. Sorry Mr. Kushner not a good idea. Israel has enough Palestinians already.

Better idea is for them to relocate to the Sinai desert temporarily.

    However Egypt will never agree.

Wherever the Palestinians go disorder and mayhem follow.

  3. “Palestinians Are an “invented Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs, and were historically part of the Arab community.”

“The first time the word “Palestinian” entered the lexicon to refer to the Arab people in so-called “Palestine” was not until after the 1967 war–and even then there is evidence it was not initially created by the Arabs in “Palestine” but by the Soviet propaganda machine describing the aftermath of the 1967 war.

“While there is no such thing as a Palestinian people, nation, country, culture, civilization, history, archeology, language, religion, economy, currency and coin, all these characteristics can be defined specifically and exclusively as Hebraic, with a history going back 4000 years. Palestinians are “various Arabs from the surrounding territories.”

  4. This was proposed in the 70s & 80s by others, but Gazans refused to move. They are not interested in peace, they want to live in cramped conditions, blame it on Israel, and to attack Israel and hope to destroy Israel. Now that Egypt has the Sinai back, I doubt they would accept the Gazans either -even though it was their responsibility to manage after given back by the British.
