Actor Kirk Douglas, the son of Jewish Russian immigrants who rose through the ranks to become one of Hollywood’s biggest-ever stars, has died at 103.
“It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103. To the world he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.” his son, movie star Michael Douglas, said in a statement posted to Facebook.
Douglas was born Issur Danielovitch in New York to Jewish immigrant parents who spoke Yiddish at home.

Sad story. FYI his kids are NOT Jewish.
Hollywood is so full of corruption and evil that any Hollywood star or actor ain’t no big tzaddik. Hence, his non-Jewish kids.
Why do we need to know that….focus on the man. People need to stop always looking for the “sad” part of the story. Focus on the man. If you don’t admire him, then don’t comment on a person who just died at 103.
It’s not sad to not be Jewish. Unfortunate, MAYBE, but not sad. Sad is being Jewish and not knowing it, or knowing it and not living it or believing in it.
