L’chvoid all the Purim Shluchei Mitzvah,

As the events of this past year has caused all of us to alter our plans, traveling this Purim to collect for the Mosdos Hatorah and Chesed are unfortunately no different.

As someone living on the west coast, although it may be a tad more difficult, I’d like to try and help in my own small way. Just over the last two weeks, between emails, voicemails and texts, I’ve received over a thousand requests to participate. It’s been hard for me and people assisting me to decipher most of the messages. Among the communications, there were duplicative, incoherent messages, some missing the names of the Mosdos, their addresses and a host of other pertinent information.

I’ve therefore created a new email just for this Purim. The address is [email protected]

These are the absolute guidelines to guarantee a response.

  1. 1. Send an email detailing the following:

  1. A) Name of the Mosad the way it appears on its 501(c)(3) exemption.
  2. B) The mailing address.
  3. C) A general description of the type of Mosad.
  4. D) The amount of people that uses its services.
  5. E) The amount of money you received last Purim.
  6. F) The head administrator of the Mosad.
  7. G) In the subject line, write “Purim Charity 2021”.
  8. H) Do not send more than one email! This will substantially reduce your possibility of getting a response. However, should you not receive a response within 45 days, please send another email but add in the words “2nd request” into the subject line.
  9. I) Should you not have access to email, please fax the above detailed information to (323) 524-1322.

If the charity request is for a Yochid, the Rav of his Shul should send a general description of the cause with all of the above pertinent information.

A Freilichen Purim,

                                                                   SHLOMO YEHUDA

L’refuah Shlaimah L’Liba Devora bas Rivka

  1. To my fellow yid,
There are some guidelines that this generous giver has set forth so he doesn’t get taken advantage of. Normally he would have a personal interaction with the receiver and that would give him some assurance as to who it’s going to. He also is extending his generosity past purim. If you can’t seem to be happy with this then I’m not sure you will ever appreciate someone else generosity. May hashem give him the power and finances to continue with his philanthropy. For my fellow yid I pray that you will always be on the giving end, and be able to share what you have with others as you see fit.

  2. Dear R’ Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz

    Shalom U’Brocho.
    Greetings and blessing!

Please take a moment of your time to read this. Thank you…

Kiryat Gat Educational Institutions and IsraelHelp.org continue to lead the way in Kiryat Gat, Israel Help providing vital educational, social and mental health programming and services to the hundreds enrolled in our schools as well as to the broader community.

I would like to share with you an opportunity to partner with us. We are currently working on constructing a new kitchen as well as dining room. These will allow us to meet the growing demand and increase our efforts on behalf of the children of Kiryat Gat.

Serving a lower income demographic including many at risk youth, the hot meals we serve are often the only hot meals these children will eat on a given day.

Our current dining facility can only serve 220 at a given time, this forces children to dine in shifts, with students often having to choose between missing a class or a meal.

The new dining hall will have 400 seats, and the new kitchen will include state-of-the-art equipment to safely and efficiently provide tasty, healthy and nutritious meals to our students and programming participants.

The cost of the entire project is projected at $450,000. With the help of some generous donors and foundations we have already secured $200.000 for this important project.

We respectfully request a gift of $100,000. This will energize us to go out and raise the additional $125.000 which will allow us to begin construction in the very near future.

Kindly consider this critical cause, we pray you can join us in this endeavor. With great appreciation for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely

    Rabbi Yakov Levin

    Director of Development
