[Results below.] The 2014 mid-term elections brought political excitement to a fever pitch across the nation, and in Lakewood, NJ, the seas were not much calmer.
After fending off a primary challenge, Committeemen Steven Langert and Ray Coles – Republican and Democrat respectively – faced off against Moshe Raitzik and Michael D’Elia are also on the ballot.
In a close and heated race, D’Elia and Coles have emerged victorious. D’Elia was the top vote getter, while Coles garnered just several hundred more votes than Langert, who ran an aggressive campaign after not receiving the endorsement of the local Vaad.
