Amazing story with the Satmar Rav ZTK”L. Thank you for sharing! This podcast was/is 100% on the mark! I know first hand the pain of not having the yecholos of paying tuition and the helplessness and hopelessness we felt. The embarrassment and humiliation we felt was ein lishayer. I hope those that have the yecholos to help out their fellow Yidden will stop and think about their neighbors and do what they can to help.
This is such an important message. I was not able to pay tuition one year and the school asked me to collect for my own child’s tuition -I was mortified to have been asked to collect for myself. Whoever can help their community with this is doing a true chesed, not only tzedaka but also sparing someone from embarrassment.
