A huge wind-whipped forest fire that swept thorough the Pine Barrens over the weekend has been fully contained at 11,638 acres, officials said Monday morning.
The Spring Hill fire in Penn State Forest didn’t injure anyone or damage any property, the state forest fire service said. A cause of the fire along the Burlington and Ocean county border has not been disclosed.
“Crews will still continue to monitor and improve control lines,” incident commander Trevor Raynor said on Twitter.
