[Full poll numbers below.] NYC Primary results show Democratic mayoral candidate Bill Thompson will go head to head with Mayor Bloomberg this fall in the race for City Hall. Thompson went up against Queens City Councilman Tony Avella and nonprofit manager Roland Rogers. “It’s time for a change New York. Eight years is enough,” said Thompson during his victory speech. And, after a tight, expensive race for city comptroller between candidates with little name
recognition, City Councilmen John C. Liu of Queens and David Yassky of Brooklyn are headed for a runoff election.
