Meghan McCain Says Her Father Regrets Opposition To MLK Day

Meghan McCain on Monday defended her father, Sen. John McCain, after a Twitter user criticized him for his previous position on making Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday a federal holiday.

“We all live with regrets and my father points to this and his stance on the confederate flag in 2000 as 2 of them,” McCain, a cohost of “The View,” tweeted in response, adding that she is “still intensely proud of him.”
