malaysia-plane1The electronic signals that were lost this week have been picked up again, and officials say they are confident they will find the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

“I am now optimistic that we will find the aircraft, or what is left of the aircraft, in the not-too-distant future,” said retired Australian Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, who is heading the joint search.

The search teams are racing to find the source of the pings, as the batteries in the black box from the flight are expected to die any day. The battery power is only supposed to last 30 days and the flight went missing on March 8. Read more at The Washington Post.
