Shmuel and Giti Kleinerman, parents of Moishi Kleinerman, the 16-year-old from Modiin Illit who has been missing for 150 days, spoke about the expansion of the search for their son.

“We wished for this combination of forces for many weeks and we are happy that it is happening,” they said.

In the last few days, units of the IDF have joined the search team.

“We received confirmation that, indeed, this week, a joint search operation began with the Israeli Police, the missing persons unit of the IDF, and other professional bodies,” Shmuel and Giti said today.

Last night, district commander Superintendent Uzi Levy met with Moishi’s parents at his office to review the search efforts made so far. “We will not let up until we understand what happened to Moishy and where he is,” said Levy. “We will continue the efforts to locate him.”

Shmuel and Giti were appreciative. “We were moved to hear the personal promise of the district commander and that he promises that the investigative actions and efforts will not stop until Moishy is found.”

The parents added: “As is known, the details of the investigation itself are subject to a gag order, which was extended today once again, and we of course respect that. We would like to thank all the forces and parties handling the issue and hope that the actions being carried out will indeed bear fruit and that our Moishy will return home.

“We continue to be moved by all the encouragement, tefillos and love that the Jewish people in Eretz Yisroel and around the world have showered upon us. Moishy has become everyone’s child, and we are currently engaged in preparations for the bar mitzvah celebration of our younger son Shlomo in the hope that we will be able to celebrate his simcha together with his older brother. We are waiting for and expecting good news.”
