It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Mr. Edwin Shafier z”l, father of Rabbi Bentzion Shafier, founder of The Shmuz, whose divrei Torah have appeared on Matzav.com for years.
The levaya will be held today, Monday, at 1 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Chapel, located at 98-60 Queens Blvd., Rego Park, NY, 11374.
Shivah will be held at 10 Mariner Way in Monsey, NY, until Sunday morning.
Mr. Shafier is survived by his wife, Pearl Shafier, and his children, Reb Bentzion and Larry.
