At today’s cabinet meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu asked the ministers to curtain their foreign trips, as a cost-saving measure, in light of Israel’s economic situation and need to cut the 2013 state budget.
However, Globes reports, Netanyahu asked the ministers to continue making trips to China, in order to avoid harming bilateral economic ties. He said that the ties with China are strategically important, which was why the government would continue to encourage ministers’ trips to the country in order to boost cooperation with Israel.
