Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu shared insights into his upcoming meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden as he and his wife arrived at Ben Gurion Airport today, embarking on a two-day journey to Cyprus. In anticipation of the meeting, Netanyahu tantalizingly remarked, “You’ll hear about it soon.”

Netanyahu also weighed in on the ongoing efforts to foster closer ties with Saudi Arabia, urging a shift from talk to action, stating, “I suggest we talk less and do more to achieve results.”

While at Ben Gurion Airport, Netanyahu addressed the recent disturbances involving foreign nationals from Eritrea in Tel Aviv and the special cabinet meeting summoned to address the management of these incidents. He expressed grave concern about the substantial influx of illegal African laborers, considering it a genuine threat to the identity and future of Israel as a Jewish and democratic nation. Netanyahu emphasized that this issue remains unresolved, particularly in light of Africa’s projected population growth over the next two decades. He remarked, “We possess an array of strategies to apprehend a larger number of infiltrators, utilizing a combination of measures and sanctions, including those implicated in Saturday’s upheaval.”

During his visit to Cyprus, Netanyahu is slated to hold meetings with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulidis and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Originally scheduled for late July, this trip was postponed due to Netanyahu’s health complications and the implantation of his heart pacemaker.

Simultaneously, protesters on the island have unfurled banners conveying messages such as “Netanyahu – even in little Cyprus, you won’t find rest!” and “The accused is coming to Cyprus, and we’ll ensure he won’t have peace.” These activists have established a dedicated WhatsApp group and even received shipments of flags and protest signs from Israel.
