netanyahu2Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will take time off from his busy schedule in the coming days to celebrate his 60th birthday, which is today. The prime minister plans to mark the special occasion with his wife Sara and their two sons, Yair and Avner.

In his first term as prime minister, Netanyahu was the youngest premier in the history of the State of Israel. Today, he will mark his 60th birthday at the Israeli Presidential Conference in Yerushalayim, in a celebration initiated by President Shimon Peres.

The Netanyahu family will be marking several festive occasions in the coming days. The prime minister will celebrate his birthday together with his youngest son, Avner, who turns 15 tomorrow, and the family will also be joined by the eldest son, Yair, who is graduating from an IDF Spokesperson’s Unit course.

Tonight, the entire family will attend the course graduation ceremony. Tomorrow, the prime minister’s wife and sons are expected to visit his office and propose a toast together with the Prime Minister’s Office workers.

The family members will then travel to the Yerushalayim home of Sara Netanyahu’s father, Shmuel Ben-Artzi, where they will be joined by the prime minister’s father, Benzion Netanyahu, for a small family celebration.

But that does not conclude the celebrations: On Friday afternoon, the family members plan to mark the three festive occasions in a restaurant.
