Approximately five months following the tragic events of October 7, Bilha Yinon remains unaccounted for, while her husband Yaakov was fatally attacked within their residence.

Mor Yinon, their daughter, conveyed to Kan Reshet Bet, “We firmly believe our mother was present at home with my father on the morning of October 7. They had contacted us via WhatsApp, and my brother had even conversed with them. Although my father’s remains and others were discovered, DNA extraction proved futile.”

“The disparity arises between the IDF investigation’s assertion of my mother’s presence at home, perishing alongside my father, and the Institute of Forensic Medicine’s stance, contending the absence of recoverable remains in the house. Presently, the circumstances surrounding our parents’ demise and the house fire remain unresolved.”

“In the midst of this perplexity, we’ve opted to embrace the narrative that aligns most logically, indicating our mother departed alongside our father. This enigma may persist, necessitating our acceptance. Since 8:30 am on Saturday, we’ve acknowledged their absence, commencing mourning from October 8,” the daughter elaborated.

“We harbor no doubt regarding her demise,” the daughter confessed. “However, this reality doesn’t mitigate our profound sense of loss. It’s an unfathomable ordeal – bereft of parents, devoid of a home, stripped of everything. Yet, solace is derived from the notion of their joint departure, swift and without prolonged suffering. They departed from the place they cherished most, having lived fulfilling lives until their last breath. We find solace in their profound love and in knowing they departed, cognizant of the deep affection we, their five siblings, harbor for them.”
