Obama Asks Execs to Help Evade Hacks

During a speech at Stanford University on Friday, President Obama appealed to the executives of U.S. companies to share more information with each other and with the government in order to help prevent high-profile cyber attacks like the one Sony experienced last year.

“Government cannot do this alone. But the fact is that the private sector can’t do it alone either because it’s government that often hast he latest information on new threats,” Obama said to an audience of CEOs.

Obama also signed an executive order while on campus to promote information sharing between companies and with the Department of Homeland Security. Read more.
