D.C. police say that officers spotted the suspect wanted in connection with the killing of Aryeh Wolf z”l of Baltimore in August. WBOL reports that the Metropolitan Police Department said that officers saw a man matching the description of Avery Miler in the 5300 block of Ames Street NE. Police say he fired shots at officers and fled to residential building on Blaine Street. No officers were hit and they did not return fire.
Police said shortly before 10 a.m. yesterday that officers set up a perimeter in which they believe Miler was located. Police closed several blocks as a tactical team moved in and officers searched. Miler is charged in a warrant with the Aug. 10th killing of 25-year-old Aryeh Wolf, who was installing solar panels at an apartment building in D.C. when he was killed.
