The U.S. Coast Guard has issued an emergency cleanup off the coast of Santa Barbara, Calif., after a pipeline leaked 21,000 gallons of oil into the ocean Tuesday.
The Coast Guard reported an oil slick on around 4 miles of beach and 50 yards into the ocean.
The pipeline reportedly caught fire and broke, leaking the oil into a drain that stretched into the ocean. The pipe has since been shut off. Read more at NBC Los Angeles.
