The Orthodox Union has launched a free online Passover toolkit with videos, tips and articles for both people making Pesach for the first time due to the coronavirus as well as those who have made it for years.

The toolkit offers videos covering how to kasher kitchen appliances – including ovens, stove tops, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, electronic mixers, utensils, countertops, sinks, urns etc. – as well as the top 10 OU Kosher hotline questions for Passover and food preparation tips. There is also a question and answer section with Rabbi Menachem Genack, CEO of OU Kosher, and Rabbi Moshe Elefant, COO of OU Kosher. Lastly, there are videos offering a deeper understanding of the Haggadah, Chametz Gamur and selling your Chametz online.

The toolkit also includes free digital access to the OU’s 2020 Passover Guide, as well as hundreds of in-depth Pesach articles.

“Due to COVID-19, many people who in the past might have traveled to family, friends or vacation destinations, will instead be making Pesach in their homes this year for the first-time including individuals who will be alone. Even families who have traditionally stayed home can benefit from these resources during these turbulent times,” said OU Kosher CEO Rabbi Menachem Genack. “Our goal in creating the Pesach toolkit was to provide a resource to help the community make the holiday less stressful.”

“This year, Pesach will be different from others but OU Kosher is here to help the community. The toolkit offers users direct access to the latest information and resources available for preparing for Pesach that can benefit and enhance every home this yom tov season,” said OU Kosher COO Rabbi Moshe Elefant.
