Yesterday, as reported on Matzav.com, the Palestinian gunman’s gun jammed just as he tried to shoot a passing biker during the devastating Bnei Brak terror attack.
Today, the biker, grateful for his neis, returned to the scene of the attack to recite the brocha of HaGomel, thanking the Ribono Shel Olam for saving his life, while offering a prayer l’illui nishmas the five victims of the terror attack.

There is no inyan to say Gomel at the scene of the miracle – your reporters are probably confusing it with the blessing ‘sheusu li nes bimakom ze’, but your reporters are probably not masmidim or talmidai chachomim so nu nu….
I would probably want to bench gomel too if that were me, but I’m not sure if such an incidents allows for the brocha: One has to endure a scenario and nonetheless survive (ex. The bullet fired but miraculously missed him), but a neis that prevented the bullet from firing in the first place is very different.
