The results of the Sanitary District 1 election on Long Island between Gabriel Boxer and Gwynette Campbell remain unofficial with Boxer leading Campbell 388 to 295 the four-year term as a commissioner for the Town of Hempstead’s Sanitary District 1, reports LIHerald. That is with not counting absentee ballots.

However, SD 1 Superintendent George Pappas told the Herald that because of the absentee ballots “have to go to court,” so the results are unofficial. The court date is July 14.

Boxer said. “The district was served papers. I can’t discuss further now. Crazy stuff happening.”

Incumbent Commissioner James Vilardi ran unopposed for the five-year term and received 552 votes.

Boxer, a popular Jewish blogger, is the CEO of both Kosher Response and the Leon Mayer Fund, non-profits based in Hewlett, and chairs Young Israel of Hewlett’s board of directors.

  1. Inorder to prove that he’s not a racist, Boxer should step aside and let the African American female win the race.
