Progressive Jewish Leaders Tell Trump He’s Not Welcome In Pittsburgh Until He Denounces White Nationalism

9

A group of progressive Jewish leaders told President Trump that he is no longer welcome in Pittsburgh until he denounces white nationalism following the shooting at a synagogue there over the weekend.

Eleven members of the Pittsburgh affiliate of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice penned a letter to Trump following the Saturday shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue.

“Our Jewish community is not the only group you have targeted,” the group wrote. “You have also deliberately undermined the safety of people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities. Yesterday’s massacre is not the first act of terror you incited against a minority group in our country.”

The group also said Trump is not welcome in the city until he also stops targeting minorities, immigrants and refugees.

The president has “spread lies and sowed fear about migrant families in Central America,” the group wrote.

  1. Y don’t you immature idiots grow up and don’t claim you represent anything Jewish please because u are a bunch of dumb liberals

  2. President Trump knows better than giving a hoot to some Leftist G-dless Lawless so-called Progressive Jewish Leaders. With what exactly are they Jewish except for their mother being Jewish?

  3. Bend the Arc is an obscure wacko group pf far left left liberals.Who do they represent that they think they can disinvite Trump from Pittsburgh?

  4. “Progressive Jewish Leaders”

They are not progressive, they are regressive!

Who elected them to speak for us?

    What a sham/scam.

A bunch of leftists they are, they don’t speak for the Jewish community at large.

  5. So, the “progressive Jewish leaders” of Pittsburgh don’t want President Trump to visit.

This is from the “Bend the Arc” website:

“Jewish values and history propel Bend the Arc: Pittsburgh’s efforts to ally with marginalized communities across geographical, racial, ethnic, and socio-economic lines. We have been on the receiving end of injustices and believe that our collective experience commands us to pursue justice to maintain an ethical society (Deuteronomy 16:18). ”

“Bend the Arc: Pittsburgh has put these values into practice, engaging with Casa San Jose, LCLAA, B-PEP, CAIR, the JCC Center for Loving Kindness, and the ACLU because we have a common enemy in injustice in whatever form. Whether it is voting rights, the fight for fair immigration policy, solidarity with workers, or the basic right to safely live in Pittsburgh without the fear of harassment or violence, we stand with these organizations and others to ensure everyone has a chance at their ideal American experience.”

    “Programs have included:

A havdalah vigil for immigrants and refugees as a response to the Muslim ban
An exploration of the intersection of voting rights and race
    Bystander intervention training
Engaging in a sit-in in the rotunda of the Russel Senate Office Building
Phone banking to ensure everyone has the right to affordable and effective healthcare”

Note that “Bend The Arc” proudly states that they engage with an organization named “CAIR”.

“CAIR” is, in fact, the “Council For American-Islamic Relations”. CAIR is classified a terrorist organization by both the US Department of State and the US Department of Homeland Security.

So much for the “progressive Jewish leaders” of Pittsburgh.

  6. Why are you so sure their mother’s are Jewish?

I’m relatively confident that a large percent of them aren’t halachicly Jewish

  7. It’s being reported that the bris was an adopted child of 2 men who…
If that’s the type of people who are disinviting the president then he should feel honored! He was also disinvited to John McCain’s funeral. Same reason! He’s too right wing for these leftists! Lefties have no rights.
