It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of R’ Jeffrey Zell z”l of Flatbush, Brooklyn.
R’ Jeffrey was an outstanding baal chesed and machzik Torah who helped numerous mosdos haTorah, mosdos hachesed and individuals during his lifetime. R’ Jeffrey maintained a close relationship with mosdos such as Mirrer Yeshiva, of which he was a member of the Board of Directors, as well as Yeshiva of Brooklyn and others. He was renowned for his askanus, philanthropy and generosity, carried out with humility and great deference.
With his ever-present smile and good cheer, R’ Jeffrey was a one-man chesed operation, becoming involved in numerous efforts lehagdil Torah ulehaadirah. His passing leaves a gaping void in the hearts of all who knew him.
The levayah will be held Sunday morning, at 9 a.m., at Kehillas Bnei Yeshivos/Imrei Tzvi, located at 2402 Avenue P in Flatbush, Brooklyn. At 9:45 a.m., the aron will be taken for a second levayah will be held at noon at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, located at 613 Ramsey Street, in Lakewood NJ.
R’ Jeffrey is survived by his wife and their wonderful family and children and grandchildren.
The family will be sitting shivah at 1781 East 23rd Street in Flatbush. Shacharis is at 8 a.m. and Mincha is at 4:15 p.m. followed by Maariv.
