It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of R’ Yossi Meisner z”l of Meisner Caterers in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
R’ Yossi was a legend in the catering industry who opened one of the first kosher take-out and catering businesses in Brooklyn. Meisner’s Gourmet Catering was founded in 1963 by R’ Yossi, earning a sterling reputation for quality, kashrus – and chesed.
R’ Yossi was a renowned baal chesed who utilized his catering business, for many years, to help individuals, mosdos, and anyone who could benefit from his services. R’ Yossi was unfailingly kind and courteous, a beloved longtime member of the Flatbush community.
The levayah will be held Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Shomrei Hadas Chapels, located at 3803 14th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.
R’ Yossi is survived by his devoted wife and their wonderful family.

I’ve known yossi for many years. Never raised his voice even in the heated kitchen! Always willing to do anything for anyone! Really will be missed! Moshiach better come fast!

My Daughter ,should be well once had a broken engagement L”U , . We had already put a deposit for the wedding with Meisner Catering . Instead of telling us ,” that is what a deposit is for ” , and forfeiting it . Reb Tuvia O”H told us , they would hold the deposit, & I’YH put it toward the “BaShertah one .
